Welcome to Hoar Cross Cider! The home of “Spirit of Staffordshire®”.

Only the best quality Staffordshire apples are used to produce our excellent handcrafted cider. The main cider apple varieties we grow are Dabinett, Harry Master’s Jersey, Yarlington Mill, Pig’s Snout, and the cider maker’s favourite: Kingston Black. These are a mixture of bittersweet and bittersharp apples.

Our cider is then triple distilled in a small 200 litre Wood-fired Still to produce small-batch artisan spirit. Once matured in oak barrels, the spirit mellows and embraces the rich and floral flavours of apples, vanilla, and subtle spices. At 40% abv this tipple is to be savoured slowly…..

What a journey! And we have had such fun in producing our beautiful Cider Brandy. However, we regret to inform you that we will be retiring, and that 2025 will be our last year.
